It is official. The Department of Defense just announced that retired Air Force Gen. Bruce Carlson has been appointed as the 17th director of the National Reconnaissance Office. This announcement does not come as too much of a surprise for us. You all may recall we have been covering the NRO for some time now and how Gen. Carlson was expected to take on the position. Although many feel that he has limited experience in the space world, we applaud this decision and look forward to seeing how he will bring about positive change for the NRO.
