Coverage of Annual Congressional Breakfast Co-Hosted by USGIF and Rep. Jim Moran
Added by USGIF Category: Daily Intelligence Brief
Earlier this week, Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., hosted the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) on Capitol Hill for the Foundation’s second annual congressional breakfast. This year’s event, taking place in the Gold Room of the Rayburn House Office Building, proved to be very exciting with more than 20 USGIF Members and congressional staffers in attendance.
USGIF Members had the opportunity to interact with representatives and staff from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the office of Rep. Jim Langevin, the office of Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, Calif., and the office of Sen. Mark Udall, Colo., as well as legislative liaisons from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and U.S. Marine Corps.
This is the second event USGIF has hosted on Capitol Hill. As part of the Foundation’s Outreach Committee, the Congressional Subcommittee organizes opportunities for USGIF Members and leaders in Congress to discuss the issues that most affect their constituents and learn more about how the geospatial intelligence tradecraft benefits the national security needs of the United States.
Below are some photos of the event.
