ESRI International User Conference News Round Up

Today is the first day of the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego. The highly popular, annual week-long geographic information system (GIS) conference is already starting to generate some noteworthy news from ESRI and attending companies. Tele Atlas and ESRI Celebrate Twenty Years of Innovative GIS Collaboration
Tele Atlas and ESRI today announced an expanded agreement that makes Tele Atlas digital maps and content available in a growing number of ESRI’s leading geographic information system (GIS) applications. This includes content for more than 24 million points of interest (POIs) available through ArcLogistics Navigator as well as additional map enhancement products that can further enrich GIS development. The agreement marks an expansion of the companies’ longstanding industry partnership, which began in 1989. Read the official press release here.
NAVTEQ Features Impressive Customer Solutions and Data Collection Tools at the ESRI UC
NAVTEQ announced that it will feature a variety of customer presentations at the 2009 ESRI International User Conference. NAVTEQ is again a Gold Sponsor of the ESRI International User Conference, as well as a platinum sponsor of the Transportation Industry Special Interest Group, and a sponsor of the Federal Reception. Microsoft and ESRI Launch Fusion Core Solution
Microsoft Corp. and ESRI launched Fusion Core Solution, a public safety and homeland security solution architecture, at the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, California. Formerly referred to as FusionX, Fusion Core Solution was designed by the two industry leaders to help public safety and homeland security professionals more effectively prevent today’s evolving physical and virtual security threats. ESRI Portugal Partners with Intermap Technologies
ESRI Portugal, a geographic information system technology provider, has partnered with Intermap Technologies to distribute the company’s 3D digital elevation models, high-resolution orthorectified images, and advanced geospatial solutions to its customers. Read the press release here.
LizardTech Unveils LiDAR Compressor
LizardTech announced the release of its latest product called LizardTech™ LiDAR Compressor at the 2009 ESRI International User Conference. This brand new product enables users to turn giant point cloud data into efficient MrSID files that retain 100 percent of the raw data at just 25 percent of the file size. Unlike raw LAS or ASCII data, LiDAR files compressed to MrSID are easily managed resources from which derivatives can be extracted over and over again. Read more here.
GeoAnalytics’ President Peter Thum to Speak
GeoAnalytics today announced that GeoAnalytics’ President Peter Thum will be presenting at the 2009 Annual ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, CA on July 15th. Thum’s presentation, “Spatial Statistical Methods and Advanced Visualization to Enhance Business Analytics,” will provide an overview of how multidimensional data visualization and spatial analytics can drive additional insight and understanding around business operations and improve the accuracy of forecasting and optimization. Overwatch Geospatial Systems Releases RemoteView 3.0.6 Featuring V-TRAC and RVConnect
Overwatch Geospatial Systems today announced the release of its RemoteView 3.0.6 software upgrade featuring two new product extensions: RVConnect and V-TRAC. RVConnect links RemoteView with ESRI’s ArcMap while V-TRAC offers a full motion video (FMV) exploitation tool. RemoteView now provides geospatial intelligence (GeoINT) analysts with a desktop FMV analysis capability and real-time interoperability with ESRI’s leading geographic information system application, ArcGIS.
