This week’s FFT post is going to be all about advanced news stories from GEOINT 2009. Geosemble to Demonstrate GeoXray Satellite Image Data Integrator at GEOINT 2009 Symposium
Geosemble Technologies, Inc., the leader in embedding data in satellite and aerial imagery, announced today that it will demonstrate its GeoXrayT system’s unique open source data integration capability for maps and satellite imagery at GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) 2009 in San Antonio, Texas, 19-21 October. Visitors to the In-Q-Tel booth (#827) will experience the GeoXray system as it displays satellite images of specific geographic locations. Carbon Project Software to Support Near-Real Time Access at GEOINT 2009
The Carbon Project is pleased to announce it will bring its near-real time geospatial access solutions to the GEOINT 2009 symposium on October 18-21, in San Antonio, Texas. The Carbon Project’s Gaia SDI platform will be used to access high-value, time-dominant geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) at the symposium. Based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), the Gaia SDI platform is designed to provide the next-generation of access, update and geosynchronization capability for intelligence, military and humanitarian assistance requirements. AGI to Showcase New Dynamic 3-D Visualization Software at GEOINT
Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), producer of commercial off-the-shelf software for space, defense and intelligence
applications, recently expanded its product line to include Insight3D, a .NET control that lets developers easily integrate 3-D visualization into their desktop or Web-based applications. Based on AGI’s 3-D graphics engine,
Insight3D supports terrain, imagery, 3-D models, satellite orbits, object tracks, streaming video and more. Developers can model objects and their motion within a scene and interact with them by object picking and flexible viewpoint controls. International Production and Assessment Division (IPAD), Office of Global Analysis (OGA), Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), announce a joint project with the Rocky Mountain Supercomputing Centers, Inc. (RMSC) focused on: Utilizing their HPC Cloud to perform project work for two areas of interest -Carbon Management and Operational Agricultural Monitoring by hosting and managing multiple satellite sensor data sets; and Demonstrating sustainability improvements in modeling and new crop methodologies focused on Carbon Management and Global Food Security.
