Welcome to the latest installment of Friday’s Food for Thought. While many of us work in the intelligence community, we often forget what the term “intelligence” is really all about. According to Wikipedia, intelligence is an umbrella term used to describe a property of the mind that encompasses many related abilities. From our perspective, it is about the development and analysis of actionable information that can help our nation defend and protect itself. But, really, both meanings are very intertwined. Do You Have Multiple Intelligences? We Bet You Do.
Assessing intelligence based on an I.Q. test alone does not give a full picture of a person’s “smarts.” This according to Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University, who in 1983 developed the concept of multiple intelligences. What are these multiple intelligences? Well, there are eight total and range from musical to interpersonal intelligence. So, don’t feel bad if you weren’t a math wizard growing up. The Story of America’s First Spy Ring
Did you know that the very first spy ring in the U.S. came about during the Revolutionary War?
