GeoEye Releases First Image from New GeoEye-1 Earth-Imaging; Satellite Contract Wins; and the NGA is Hiring

GeoEye officially released the first color half-meter ground resolution image taken from its GeoEye-1 satellite.  This is the highest resolution color satellite image ever to be released!   Check out the Washington Post’s coverage of this news, and you can see the actual image of Kutztown University here.   In contracts news, L-1 has won four contracts worth a combined $37 million to supply technical support and services to the Army Corps of Engineers and the NGA.  Harris Corporation received a $140 million order to provide systems integration and IT services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).  And, finally, the NGA is recruiting qualified analysts right now.
