GEOINT 2010: Get On The Floor…the Exhibition Floor That Is…

One of the coolest things about the GEOINT Symposium is walking the exhibitor floor and seeing all of the GEOINT innovation come to life right before your eyes. The theme for this year’s GEOINT is “Geospatial Intelligence 3.0 – a New Era of GEOINT,” which is certainly underscored by what’s happening on the expo flloor. So, check this out. This year, there will be 220 exhibitors (up from 174 last year) from government, industry and academia who will be bringing this new era of GEOINT to life. SGI to Showcase Latest Advancements in Technical Computing at GEOINT 2010 Symposium
SGI, a trusted leader in technical computing, announced today that it will showcase its leading SGI(R) high performance computing (HPC) and storage solutions, including Altix(R) UV, the world’s fastest, most scalable supercomputer, at the upcoming GEOINT 2010 Symposium from November 1-4, 2010, at the Ernest N. MarkLogic to Demonstrate Geospatial Application at GEOINT Symposium
-MarkLogic® Corporation, the company revolutionizing the way organizations leverage unstructured information, today announced that Federal Consultant Gary Katz will present at the GEOINT Symposium in New Orleans, L.A. The session, “XML Approaches to Facilitating Interoperability, Fusion, and Analysis of GOSINT Metadata Formats,” will include a demonstration of content from multiple sources being fused and analyzed by a Geospatial Open Source Intelligence (GOSINT) application. Katz will present on Thursday, November 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. CT in the Exhibit Hall. The session will focus on the extraction and analysis of GOSINT from online websites that produce and expose rich content such as text, image, map and video, as well as their associated metadata. The live demonstration will detail recent NGA TOPS CRADA activity, where content from a variety of web search engines, geospatial, and crowdsourced internet sites were harvested, enriched, fused, and analyzed into a GOSINT application. BAE Systems will be previewing SOCET GXP® v3.2 software updates, which include a re-imagined video dashboard and new video editor; up to 3x performance improvement for RSET generation; easy-to-use Frame import process; and enhanced visualization capabilities including Height Measurement tool, Grid Reference graphic, and Simple Building tool for 3-D visualization.
