LizardTech Unveils GeoExpress 8 at GEOINT 2010 Symposium
-LizardTech®, a division of Celartem Inc. and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, announced the release of version 8 of GeoExpress® image compression software at the GEOINT 2010 Symposium in New Orleans this week. GeoExpress 8, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery, introduces the MrSID® Generation 4 (MG4™) format for compression of raster data, adding support for multispectral data, alpha channels and improved mosaicking. “The launch of GeoExpress 8 is particularly exciting because of the many benefits MrSID Generation 4 brings to our customers.” With MG4’s support for compressing hyperspectral data users can use GeoExpress to compress up to 255 bands of geospatial data to the MrSID format. Whether users need to compress 4-band color images containing an infrared channel, take advantage of the latest 8-band satellite imagery, or compress high-resolution RGB datasets, GeoExpress is the right solution. Goodrich to Showcase Geospatial Capabilities at GeoInt 2010 Symposium in New Orleans
Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) will showcase its geospatial intelligence systems at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) Symposium (GEOINT) at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans. This event takes place from November 1-4, 2010. Goodrich ISR Systems (booth 151) will be demonstrating its processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) capabilities currently used by military forces across the globe. These systems have the capability to collect, process, and deliver actionable intelligence to decision makers and war fighters via a state-of-the-art product portfolio. Harris Corporation Support Helps Launch Penn State’s Geospatial Revolution Media Project
Penn State Public Broadcasting (PSPB) has successfully launched its Geospatial Revolution Project, thanks in part to the support of Harris Corporation. As a major supporter of the educational project, Harris provided funding and contributed the animation skills of one of its technicians. Rob Lowe, geospatial technician at Harris, created the “cosmic zoom” animation for the opening segment of the web-based video series that sends viewers diving from space, through the Earth’s atmosphere and down to street level. The goal of the program is to help educate the public about the creative applications of digital mapping and how it is changing the way we think, behave and interact. Adapx Announces Successful Deployment of Capturx Geospatial Software With the NGA and Inclusion in ENFIRE Reconnaissance Kit 5.0 Program of Record
