As you can imagine, the got geoint? staff is brimming with excitement as GEOINT 2010 registration is now officially open. And, thankfully in our busy lives, GEOINT 2010 will be here before you know it (time moves fast when you are busy and having fun). USGIF is doing something completely new and different this year. On November 3rd, it is hosting an entire day filled with keynotes, panels and breakout sessions on the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence’s Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DIIE) and the issues affecting it and the airborne ISR assets. We urge everyone to take part in USGIF’s crowdvine to be part of key discussions leading up to GEOINT 2010, as well as connect and network with others in the community in advance of the event.
Lt. Gen John Koziol will start the day with a keynote, and then Kevin P. Meiners, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Acting) for Portfolio, Programs and Resources, will lead a panel featuring Dawn Meyerriecks, DDNI for Acquisition and Technology, and Cheryl J. Roby, Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acting) for Networks and Information Integration/DoD Chief Information Officer (ASD(NII)/DoD CIO). Breakout sessions will cover Emerging Sensors and Platforms; Data Interoperability of Architecture, Standards and Metadata; Multi-INT Integration; and Information Sharing – TPED & Comms.
Also, we highly recommend you check out this Q&A with Kevin Meiners in Geospatial Intelligence Forum to learn more about DIIE.
