Added by USGIF Category: Member Spotlight

When the world’s largest technology company invests heavily in the Geospatial Intelligence sector, it could only mean good things for our tradecraft. From acquiring EDS (for $13.9 million), as well as 26 other companies in the past three years, Hewlett Packard sees a bright future in providing customized solutions for the defense and intelligence communities.

Some key solutions for our sector include: HP Neoview, a next-generation data warehouse platform and business intelligence (BI) solution; enhanced storage capabilities with the recent acquisition of LeftHand Networks Inc; data center automation; and cloud computing infrastructure support. In fact, HP supplies the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) with scalable technology to enable its Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to deploy a cloud computing infrastructure.

We recommend you check out HP’s offerings at GEOINT 2008, where it will be showcasing its storage solutions with its strategic partner, Oracle. For more information about HP’s public sector solutions check out here.
