Welcome to the Monday Morning News Kick Off post from got geoint? While we traditionally make this post more of a news round up, we are only going to focus on one story: the announcement of General James Clapper’s nomination to be the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). This is certainly very exciting new for the GEOINT Community, as General Clapper is revered as being the “father” of GEOINT. And, we wanted to remind our readers that we did an exclusive Q&A with General Clapper when we launched this blog at GEOINT 2008. Here’s the link to that post. And, finally, we have included the video of President Obama and General Clapper announcing the nomination from the White House Rose Garden on Saturday. Congratulations General Clapper!
