Today, Google is announcing version 6 of Google Earth, the highly popular geographical-exploration software for Windows, OS X, and Linux. According to PC World, one of the niftier upgrades is that Google Street View’s street-level photographic imagery is now integrated with Earth’s maps, satellite photos, and computer-generated renderings in a much more seamless fashion-if you just keep zooming or drag the Pegman icon to a spot. Very cool. Though have you noticed lately that there’s never a shortage of the strange and bizarre captured on Google Street View — especially in Germay? Perhaps it is a response to the the potential privacy breaches by Google Street View that happened in Germany? Whatever it is…the Germans are doing some very strange spoofs when it comes to Street View.

Here we go with a rundown of the strange and bizarre caught on Street View:

Google Street View Captured Child Birth (Don’t Worry…It’s a Hoax)
There’s a woman lying on the sidewalk. She’s on her back and her legs are spread apart. A man is holding a tiny, naked newborn. It’s clearly a child birth scene, or is it? That’s what people were asking last week as this Google Street View image capturing the birth of a baby in Berlin, Germany, circulated around the Internet. The photo seemed to be Google’s most dramatic Street View scene but last week the company’s German offices sent out a tweet saying the image taken in front of No. 37 Hubertusallee is a hoax. Naked Man Emerging from Car Trunk
Google Street View came across an odd scene where a presumably naked man appears to be climbing from the trunk of a car while a dog lies on the ground nearby. The image has been taken down and is “under review” by Google, through you can see it here. Perhaps it was a prank? As the Huffington Post noted, the Germans have a history of pranking Google Street view.

Google Street View Helps Motivate Man to Lose Weight
One thing that Google Street View has become good for is self reflection. One man was so mortified by his image on Street View that it motivated him to lose 100 pounds.
