Added by USGIF Category: GEO-Cast
The recent explosion of commercial synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and its applications has provided tremendous opportunities for all users, including those in the Defense, Intelligence and Homeland Security communities. In addition, the recent DoD announcement that the Space Radar program will lose its funding further underscores the potential opportunities for commercial SAR providers to augment this defense capability.
Consequently, the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) in cooperation with Observera Inc., will convene the first of its USGIF Workshop Series with a day-long event examining the Applications of Commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) on June 5, 2009 at the Oracle Conference Center in Reston, Va. We highly recommend you attend this event. For more information, click here.
Finally, check out the podcast below on with Todd Jamison, Chief Scientist and CEO of Observera. Mr. Jamison provides a detailed synopsis of commercial synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and its applications for our community.
