Spy Satellite Images Show Polar Ice Cap Melting

While we all know that global warming is having an impact on the environment, particularly on the polar ice cap, new images appeared from intelligence satellites that confirm what everyone pretty much knew — it’s melting. According to the Guardian UK, the images, kept secret by Washington during the presidency of George W Bush, were declassified by the White House last week. By declassifying the images, President Barack Obama is currently trying to galvanize Congress and the American public to take action to halt catastrophic climate change caused by rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Certainly a sea change in how our leadership approaches global warming, and it is very exciting to see how GEOINT is playing a role in raising awareness of our impact on the environment.

    Could it be that due to customers continually increasing the EIRP of their carriers that the satellites downlink energy is summing and reaching microwave cooker energy levels ???

    Here is web site for a local DJ who has a link to a very extensive list of scientific reports and other information concerning the other side of the so-called “Global Warming” debate. Another thing why is referred to “Climate Change”. Remember in the 70’s they were cautioning us about the coming Ice Age. Is not it possible that the weather is cyclical? Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks this way. “Climate Change” is an anti-capitalist tax-raising scheme that will be recorded as one of the biggest frauds in human history.

    My one gripe about the global warming yes/no debate is that it became political. As far as I am concerned, this is a scientific question. When politics motivate research (both pro and con) the whole debate devolves into trivial “I’m right and here are my cherry picked facts to support my position”.

    This particular issue has been so clouded by partisan posturing that it is hard for me (a non-climatologist) to understand the whole picture.

    No offence – but I’ll review your sources with a liberal (no pun intended) dose of salt. It seem like everything that I read on this has to be taken with salt!

    Thanks for the info. Know that I’ll be reading with an open and questioning mind.
