USGIF is supporting development of the next generation of GEOINT professionals by soliciting volunteers to judge student projects at Technosphere ’11, the Virginia Technology Student Association’s annual leadership event. This event will be held at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly VA on April 29 – May 1, 2011. Please contact Ms. LaTasha Watson (Virginia TSA state advisor) at TSA@VATSA.org if you share interest in supporting the next generation of GEOINTers and are willing to serve as volunteer judge at this event. More than 1,500 students from the Commonwealth of Virginia will compete at Technosphere ’11, and your participation will provide meaningful encouragement to these kids as they consider higher education options and professional directions.
The Virginia Association of the Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering for its members. The event includes a wide variety of competitions that deal with all disciplines of technology. The competitive aspect of TSA allows students to develop leadership skills and demonstrate their understanding of technologies of interest to them. TSA is comprised of over 10,500 members statewide who are enrolled in or have taken Technology Education courses. TSA includes educators, students, and business leaders located around the world, who are committed to making a technologically literate society.
So, this is our call to fellow GEOINTers out there to be volunteer judges! Learn more here.
