The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Brings “GEOINT 3.0” to Life With New Website
Added by USGIF Category: Daily Intelligence Brief, General

At GEOINT 2010, NGA Director Letitia Long’s keynote addressed focused on her game-changing vision of putting the power of GEOINT into the hands of the user. This vision involved taking full advantage of key location-based applications and trends that deliver intuitive and powerful apps for solving a multiple of GEOINT challenges, as well as the importance of empowering users to benefit from this new frontier. Well, the NGA took a step towards bringing this vision to life with the launch of its new public website.
The new website allows users to easily access NGA mission partner items of interest, corporate information, career and student opportunities, as well as quick links to NGA’s social media presence.
More important, the NGA plans to make further website enhancements to improve the user’s experience by providing a customizable interface and a GEOINT application marketplace. The goal is to provide a single access point for NGA’s unclassified geospatial information, critical to a wide spectrum of GEOINT consumers.
That’s right a GEOINT app marketplace. In case you missed Director Long’s keynote address at GEOINT 2010, you can access it here.
