Web 2.0 Adoption is a “State of Mind” for Federal Employees in the Intel Community; Not About Age; Intellipedia

As Got GEOINT aims to be the Web 2.0 platform for all things related to Geospatial Intelligence, we applaud all efforts to bring the Intel community into the Web 2.0 world.  Some folks fully embrace this new social media environment, some are hesitant (but dipping their toes in the water), while others are not quite there yet.   However, adoption of Web 2.0 strategies has nothing to do with age, or a generational gap – as one might expect.

Chris Rasmussen, social software knowledge manager at the NGA, and big-time contributor to Intellipedia, the online wiki for federal intelligence information sharing, recently told Federal Computer Week that Intellipedia users are not all in their 20s.  “It is not an age, it is a mind-set,” said Rasmussen to FCW.  We could not agree more, Chris.   We welcome thoughts from our readers on this.
